qoya
- is a movement practice created by Rochelle Sheick, Qoya is based on this idea that through movement we remember, we remember that our essence is wise wild and free. Qoya focuses less on how it looks and more on how it feels so great news there is no way you can get it wrong!
There are no levels in Qoya so no experience necessary. Qoya is open to anyone.
“Imagine if you couldn’t get it wrong and the way you knew you were doing it right is that it feels good in your body and more than that, that it feels true and authentic”
- Rochelle Sheick
This amazing embodiment practice brings together breath, yoga, dance, sisterhood, ritual and so much more, oh and did I mention its bags of fun!
Qoya for me has become such and integral part of my life. Where the movement has become the medicine allowing me to access parts of myself that I never knew existed, helping me to remember, remember all of me.
Remembering the deep connection to myself, the feminine, sisterhood, to ALL.
Rochelle likes to say “come as you are and leave as more of who you are”. Qoya has allowed me to peel off the layers to opening my heart and knowing my authentic self.
There is an innate wisdom that our body holds of knowing how to move, to feel, to release. Qoya is portal into that wisdom, wildness and freedom and like north on a compass we can trust the feeling we have in our body and use this to navigate through our day to day life.
If you feel the call to experience a class, a one on one Qoya Class/session where you want to dive deep with a particular theme or you want a personal daily movement ritual created (15 - 20mins), working with what you are wanting to embody. hello@anitad.co.nz
